Account Deletion and Data Deletion
This page explains how NūrRing users can request deletion of their account and associated data.
Delete your account in the app
If you have access to the NūrRing app, please use the in-app account deletion option available in the app settings. This is the fastest way to request deletion of your account and associated data.
Request deletion outside the app
If you cannot access the app, no longer have it installed, or are unable to log in, you can request deletion by emailing:

What to include in your request
- The email address associated with your NūrRing account.
- Your username, if available.
- Any details that help us identify your account securely.
What may be deleted
Subject to legal, technical, security, or fraud-prevention requirements, account deletion may include:
- Your authentication account.
- Your Firestore profile data.
- Your dhikr history and related stored app data.
- Your reminder settings and preferences.
- Your friend relationships and friend requests.
- Your groups and leaderboard-related membership data.
- Your username claim.
- Remembered ring data associated with your account.
What may be retained
We may retain limited information where necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or other legitimate operational reasons.
Verification
To protect user privacy and security, we may need to verify that the deletion request is being made by the account owner before completing the request.
Processing time
We aim to review and process deletion requests within a reasonable period of time, but timing may vary depending on the request and any verification needed.
